CHICAGO ARCHITECTURE
It was in Chicago that the sky scraper was born. And it was here that some of our nation’s most influential
architects began their careers and refined the styles that would make them famous. Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis
Sullivan and the Burnham Brothers all contributed to the rich architectural variety of Chicago, from the
soaring commercial structures of the loop to a host of distinctive residential neighborhoods.
This handsome chess set celebrates that rich heritage. Handcrafted of exotic woods, each playing piece is unique.
The back row pieces each recreate an important part of the city’s famous skyline, while individual pawns
represent the varied residential architectural styles. A felt-lined divided drawer beneath the chess board
provides safe storage for the entire set.
